Sales Executive - Hyundai

Location: Hawkins Hyundai Blackwater

Salary: £ Basic salary + Commission + Pension

Hawkins Motor Group are now recruiting, Hawkins currently employ over 240 staff members and represent at 6 motor manufacturers with 14 Dealerships in 9 locations across Cornwall. The position is full time working for one of Cornwall’s leading, family owned businesses.

Hyundai is a Top 10 Brand in the UK and the Tucson SUV was the 6th best selling car in 2023. Leaders in Electrification it has many more exciting new models planned for launch over the next 24 months. We have a rare opportunity to join our Hyundai Sales Team and to take over an established customer portfolio.

We recently opened a state of the art brand new Hyundai Dealership in Blackwater, Truro and we require a proactive individual to join our team as a Hyundai Sales Executive.

You will be selling New & Approved Used Hyundai and other popular makes of Used cars and will have access to group stocks in excess of 600 vehicles.

Our brand new multi franchise supersite at Blackwater is one of the most exciting developments in the Cornish Motor Industry for many years, and as such we are looking for a top quality, highly motivated individual who will appreciate the opportunity to further their career in such stunning surroundings.

As an individual, you need to be:

  • Motivated, friendly and focused with excellent communication skills as you will be face to face with customers every day and have the ability to meet your sales targets.
  • Able to work well within a team but also must have the ability to work from your own initiative when necessary.
  • Ambitious as we offer an uncapped commission structure so the more you put in the more you get out of it!

Responsibilities and Duties Include:

  • Dealing with customers in a professional manner to maximise buyer experience, meeting and greeting customers.
  • Handling showroom, telephone and online enquiries.
  • Using all available avenues to prospect for new business.
  • Taking customers out on test drives.
  • Arranging customer finance.
  • Appraising Part Exchange vehicles
  • Site and stock presentation.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Retail Sales Experience is essential, as you will be expected to hit the ground running so as a minimum you must have retail sales experience. (Motor Industry experience would be an advantage but is in not essential as training will be provided).
  • A positive 'can do' attitude and commitment to acting proactively to find and convert sales opportunities.
  • The ability to build a sales proposition by creating a personalised package for the customer based on their budget, needs and desired vehicle.
  • A full, clean UK Driving License is essential.

We open Monday - Saturday preparing for the day at 8:30am and usually finish at 6pm, however, this can be later if a customer is being dealt with.

The position is full time 5 Days per week with a Basic salary + Commission + Pension.
